Phillip Girvan, PE

Senior Associate, Senior Project Manager

Phillip has deep experience in a challenging array of commercial and public sector projects, including aviation, military, government, and healthcare facilities, parking structures, and sports stadiums.

His broad-spectrum expertise covers everything from specialty truss design to anti-terrorism force protection design, and for most of his 20+ year-career, he’s specialized in aviation design at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (HJIA), serving as the original Engineer of Record on many of the facilities now being rebuilt or expanded under the city’s $6 billion airport modernization plan. Phillip continues to take a lead role on these HJIA and other multidisciplinary projects.

Phillip’s strengths include the design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast concrete, tilt-up concrete, and post-tensioned concrete structures. He’s proficient with Revit/AutoCAD systems and is a highly skilled user of RAM Structural Systems, RAM Elements, STAAD 3-D, ETABS, and RISA 3-D modeling and analysis software.

As a Senior Project Manager, Phillip will work directly with the client and outside disciplines to coordinate the highest-quality, on-time deliverables – from schematic design and document coordination to all general notes, specifications and quality control reviews.
