The project will consist of a three-story reinforced concrete classroom and laboratory wing and a two-level structural steel auditorium wing. The auditorium wing will be connected to an existing building via a steel-girder connector bridge. The overall square footage of the building, including the roof, will be approximately 110,000 SF. The building will be located on the University of Georgia main campus in Athens, Georgia.

Sykes structural engineering services constituted 40% of the project’s structural design including the foundation system and connector bridge.
